School Girl Chic

I was having a real nostalgic moment on this shoot. I wanted to embody the school girl ethos. I loved being in school- all of it! From Montessori all the way up to Business School. It was always a safe and happy place for me. Maybe even a place to hide out until I figured out what I wanted to do with myself and my life. One thing I loved about being in school is the strong sense of self I felt. When you are growing up, you are of course still forming who you are, and yet there is a piece of you that knows who you are, without a doubt. That piece is what I remember and something I revisit whenever I am feeling lost as my adult self. No second guessing. No questions on what you will or won't do. Your truth vibrates within you and guides you like the North Star. When I think back on my school days, that's what I remember and seek to reconnect with. To pull it into present day and let that deeper knowing do the guiding.
